Take a Stand against Domestic Violence!
Monday, October 29, 7:00-8:30am

Join the Pacific NW Alliance to Free Marissa Alexander in bannering to demand an end to violence against women and a pardon for Ms. Alexander, found guilty of assault for attempting to defend herself against her abusive husband. Alexander, an African American mother living in Florida, fired a warning shot to back off her attacker. Though no one was hurt, she was denied a "stand your ground defense" and sentenced to 20 years.

Gather at the Madison St. overpass of I-5 in downtown Seattle.

  1. The sun shined just a bit more today,
The earth was full of promise once again,
The love that you feel is full of thankful hearts
As our very breath full with glee that the humanity
in others found it important to set you free. Onward!

Marissa, my mind could speak a thousand ways to say
how happy I am, but I all I would like right now is to share
my contentment with everyone just knowing you are home
with the ones that you love and love you.

May humanity and those in power, collectively and individually,
embrace and practice the mindfulness, love, and compassion and
to see you for who you truly are. Welcome home Marissa.

    Now can I say it? ? ? . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . PAAAAARRRRRTTTTTAAAAAEEEEEE!:-)
I wish you and those you love all the happiness that you can hold on to.

    Love, peach n' happiness!

    1. Typo: Love, peace and happiness!
